Early start, early finish.

• This is definitely a job for early birds. With a 6 am start time, it means you start your job early and finish early.

Finish early, get paid the same.

• This job is based on 4 hours per day. If you get the job done in 2 hours, you still get paid for 4 hours. Many of our bookkeepers can do this after their training is complete. This makes for a higher hourly rate.

Monthly profit sharing.

• Every restaurant is eligible for monthly profit sharing. Staff have certain criteria to be eligible. Bookkeepers are automatically eligible.

Basic knowledge and positive attitude are the only prerequisites for this job.

• Some people think that you have to be an accountant to become a Wendy’s bookkeeper. Not so.
• If you are comfortable with arithmetic, computers, calculators and have great attention to detail, don’t hesitate to apply.

Very user friendly payroll and accounting software.

• People who have considered themselves “intimidated computer users” were impressed with how easy and flexible our payroll and accounting software is to use.
• We provide you with support including 24/7 intranet access to tips on how to do your work.

Variety of tasks; mentally stimulating.

• Many of our bookkeepers like the variety of tasks. Some jobs are done on computer while others can be manually.
• If you like a job that is mentally stimulating, you’ll like being a bookkeeper. Balancing figures, accuracy and information seeking keeps the job interesting.

Casual office environment.

• Bookkeepers don’t have to wear a uniform. Casual attire is the order of the day.
• In the housing business, small places are called “step savers”. Wendy’s definitely has “step saver” sized offices. We don’t spend a lot of money on fancy, large offices. We put our resources into our food and facilities that make a difference to the customers. Our offices are very small but manageable. On the plus side, everything is in arms reach.

Work independently but part of a team.

• Does that sound contradictory? Well, it’s true. Much of the bookkeeper’s job functions can be completed on your own but we rely on staff members to provide complete, accurate and relevant information to you.
• Some bookkeepers really enjoy working around young people because it keeps them tuned in.
